How it works is: I will record a draft bass line for your song and send you an mp3 of the song with the bass mixed in (usually a little louder than a traditional mix so you can hear what's going on). If you like the tracks and don't need any changes made, I will send you an invoice and high fidelity isolated bass tracks when I receive payment from you. If you do want some changes made, I will make the necessary revisions and send you a new file. I will repeat this process for no extra charge until you are happy with it! If you feel the need to pull the plug for any reason, that's okay!

Rights: You retain all the rights to your songs.

Payment: I accept PayPal payments and Interac E-Transfers in Canadian Dollars

Rates: This is a little tricky since no two songs are the same and some songs will take 3-10 times longer than others to get right depending on the style, length, complexity, etc. For this reason, I don't publish a flat rate on my website. I will say that the average fee per song is around 100CAD. Below are some of the factors that I consider when sending a quote for a new project.

How long is the song? Of course I need to charge more for a 20 minute song with no repeated parts than I would for a 2 minute song with no bridge.

Does your song require specific, complex lines (if I have to match all the guitar parts in a power metal song it's probably going to take a lot more work that a 3 chord folk song!)

Does your song require additional mixing and/or mastering services (negotiated based on track count, length, complexity, total number of songs, deadline, etc.)

Require additional overdubs or players. If you want live drums, percussion, guitars, strings, saxophones, or whatever else, it can be arranged. The most common request here would be for me to bring a real live drummer into the studio and record my bass lines along with them for a semi "live off the floor" feel. I'm also an awesome shaker player so if you just want some kick-ass shakers, talk to me! And whistling.... I'm a pretty decent guitar player though, so if you want some of that, let me know!

How many songs do you need to get BASSED? Discounts may be negotiated for full LPs and EPs (Especially if the desired tone and style is about the same throughout).

Your satisfaction is guaranteed! While I do admit that I cannot actually guarantee you genuine satisfaction in your life, if you are not satisfied with the bass parts I have recorded for you, you can walk away without paying a cent. The whole point of this is to give your low end the groove and human touch that it deserves! Ultimately, you are not paying for my time, you are paying for results so if you you aren't happy with the the bass lines then I cannot in good conscience take your money.
